Laser Therapy

What is Deep Tissue Laser Therapy? How can it help conditions such as Plantar Fasciitis, Tennis Elbow, Back/Neck, Wrist pain, and Arthritis?

Deep Tissue Laser Therapy™ with the LiteCure LCT-1000 is an innovative, scientifically-based, therapeutic modality specifically designed to offer advanced pain relief and expedited healing times through a process known as photobiostimulation.

Laser Therapy

The LCT-1000 works by flooding tissues with photons, energizing the damaged cells and increasing circulation to the painful area. This produces a cascade of healing responses in your body, rapidly reducing inflammation, thereby reducing or even eliminating your pain.

In fact, the LCT-1000 deep tissue laser is used by many professional sports teams to accelerate healing times for musculoskeletal injuries and to keep players on the field…or on the court. Here's what the Boston Celtics have to say about the LCT-1000:

"The LCT-1000 laser therapy device has been an invaluable asset to our team. I would like to thank you and LiteCure for helping to keep our players in the game throughout our 2008 Championship season. This laser therapy device will continue to be part of the high level of care our medical staff provides our players." Edward J. Lacerte, Med., PT, SCS, L/ATC, CSC S, Head Athletic Trainer for the Boston Celtics

Treatments take anywhere from 7-9 minutes, however, the therapeutic effect is long lasting. Typically, between 5-15 sessions are required to obtain optimum healing potential. Tough-to-treat conditions such as plantar fasciitis and TMJ are especially responsive to laser therapy.

There is no discomfort during treatment, simply a deep, gentle warmth as your body's cells respond to the laser light. There are no known side effects. It is a non-invasive therapy with long lasting benefits.

Patients with headaches, whiplash, and carpal tunnel syndrome are especially responsive to deep tissue laser therapy.

LiteCure Deep Tissue Laser Therapy can dramatically reduce the pain associated with the following:

Low Back and Neck Strain
Bulging, Fused or Slipped Discs
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS)
Epicondylitis (Tennis Elbow)
Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMJ)
Arthritic Conditions (osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis)
Post Surgical Recovery
Headaches, including Migraine and Sinus
Sports Injuries (Pulled Hamstrings, Rotator cuff, Calves Etc.)
Plantar Fasciitis
And many more joint, muscle, circulatory and inflammatory conditions

Laser - Massage

We also have the ability to perform Laser-Massage using the LCT-1000 Laser-Massage head-piece developed by LiteCure. The light and tissue massage interaction produces a DEEP (Delivery Enhanced Energy Penetration) healing response as more tissues are exposed to the photonic laser energy, creating a synergistic effect for faster healing and pain relief.  We incorporate Laser-Massage into some of our Active Release Technique (ART) protocols to promote accelerated healing. This truly is state-of-the-art.
