Hand pain and numbness is fairly common among people who spend the majority of their day in front of a computer.  Unfortunately, many are misdiagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) or wrist sprains when the actual problem is located in the neck. "Though doctors are unsure of what causes blood pressure to increase, a new study suggests that a specific type of neck adjustment may reduce hypertension for some of the 65 million Americans battling it. The University of Chicago study, published in the Journal of Human Hypertension, looked at the possibility of a connection between a spinal realignment and a decrease in blood pressure. "We set up a double-blind study to really look and see if in fact this procedure was affecting high blood pressure," said University of Chicago Medical Center hypertension specialist George Bakris.

Sciatica is a symptom that results from pressure on the sciatic nerve, which is the largest nerve in the body. Typically, there is pain in the leg or legs that can be excruciating. The pain can originate in the low back and travel down the legs or be in the legs or feet only.  In less severe cases, the sciatic pain can feel like cramping or burning. There can also be numbness, tingling, and weakness. All cases are different.
