Decompression for the Neck

Neck pain is very common. Chronic neck pain, which is neck pain that persists for over 90 days, may be caused by a herniated or bulging disc. If so, it's not the end of the world and gentle chiropractic can usually help.

However, there is a subset of patients with herniated or bulging discs in the neck that do not respond to conventional therapies such as chiropractic, physical therapy, or medications. Sometimes these patients suffer for years. These patients are candidates for nonsurgical prinal decompression with the DRX-9000c.

The DRX9000c is designed to treat cervical disc herniations and bulges naturally. Cervical decompression can also help patients with Facet Syndrome, Degenerative Disc Disease, and Spinal Stenosis (in certain cases).

The cervical decompression process is very safe and gentle and patients usually fall asleep during treatment. Sometimes we incorporate massage, chiropractic, or physical therapy into the mix. Outcomes are excellent but there are still some patients who do not respond. While the DRX is a great tool, it's NOT a Magic Bullet.

The good news is that even in the unlikely event that you do not respond to decompression therapy, you are still whole and can pursue other treatment options...even surgery.  If you have surgery and it does not help, you may be permanently disqualified from ever trying cervical decompression.

So, if you have been diagnosed with a herniated or bulging disc in the neck and have been unable to find the right kind of treatment, you may want to consider decompression therapy.

The standard protocol is for 20 sessions over a 6 week period. Each session is about an hour long.
