"Dr. Greene is The Best Doctor I've Been to"
I've been going to chiropractors for over twenty years, and Dr. Greene is the best doctor I've been to. I happen to be both a clutz and love to snowboard. Not exactly the best mix in the world to be, but that's where Dr. Greene comes in. I came to his office after having a not so pleasant experience with another Chiropractor and heard of his services from a friend. I was amazed at the quality of their facilities and their very large physical therapy room in the back.
I've wrecked myself up on the mountain snowboarding and fallen down a flight of stairs head first on my back and every time, Dr. Greene has put me back together again. He has the kind of personality that puts you at ease the moment you meet him. I was in such bad shape after the stairs that he told me he could only use the electro stimulus machine on me the first visit because my muscles were in such a spasm. A sure sign of a good Chiropractor is if they're not afraid to say, "I can't even work on you yet" because they know how the body and muscles work.
I also had a couple of physical therapy sessions for my ankles. And although I don't think I would pay a tremendous amount out of pocket for it, if your insurance covers it, do it. I learned how I was holding my body incorrectly and proper exercises to strengthen and improve my posture.
I would recommend Dr. Greene in a heartbeat or shall I say...a muscle spasm.

"The Pain Really Does Stop Here!"
The pain really does stop here! Having to practically crawl to get there, I was in so much pain in my lower back. In tears upon arrival, the front of the house staff took extra care with me and I imediately felt like everything was going to be okay within the first few minutes.
I was promptly greeted by Dr. Hal Rosenberg....i.e. The Miracle Man! Not only was he quite possible the most handsome Dr. I've visited (can we say ...bonus?) he clearly knew what he was doing because my pain significantly decreased after just one visit! Over the course of the next few days I returned to Chiro-Medical Group and after each visit my pain decreased. (Im in no pain today--2 weeks later).....phew!!!
I'm confident that these guys are back experts and that they take the best approach to treatment...a Holistic--Total Care Approach that is consultative, educational and supportive. They even have primary care physicians!
Thanks Chiro_Med group for taking such good care of me. I'm truly grateful!

"I'd Give Them More Stars if Yelp Allowed That"
My review is for the physical therapists Lisa, Bobby and Kelly (Kelly isn't there any longer). I've never really seen any of the other specialists at CM.
I'm am avid runner and cyclist (w/ swimming in the mix for triathlons occasionally. Who really likes swimming all that much anyway?). As with most endorphin junkies, my mood changes when I get cut off from those activities.
2 years ago, I had achilles tendonitis which stopped my running cold. I tried recovering on my own for about 2 months without any success. After 5 weeks of PT with Kelly and some from Bobby, it was as if though I'd never had it.
Last year, I split my left peroneus brevis tendon (longitudinally). I couldn't really do anything except run on pavement (anything else, including trail running, swimming and biking) made it hurt. I didn't know that I had actually split it at that point. They worked on it for a few weeks eventually agreed something more was 'up'. The MRI showed the split which equaled 'surgery' (and several additional opinions agreed). The post-surgery PT with Lisa and Bobby took about 7 weeks. I am biking, running and swimming again - all without any pain. I have no doubt I'll be competing again before long. Kudos also go to the surgeon, Vincent Marino, DPM, too, of course (he has his own practice - not part of CM).
Bobby and Lisa (and Steve and Jamiss) are fun and easy going, which makes PT visits much less of a drudgery, and they really seem to know what they're doing. I say 'seem' because as analytical as I think I am, there still seems to be some magic about what they do. I'd give them more stars if Yelp allowed that.
I've never had any billing or insurance surprises at CM, either. I have Blue Shield PPO, which is good insurance (though expensive), which probably helps.
And as for waiting, I doubt I ever waited more than 5 minutes to be seen, and that was rare. They were almost always the ones waiting for me. :-)

"I Can't Say Enought About The Team"
Back pain was something that I had reluctantly accepted as something that would always be a part of my life. Walking into the offices of the Chiro-Medical Group changed all that. When entered their offices, half bent over in pain, I was greeted by a staff that understood what I was going through - indeed, I had called earlier that morning hardly able to move and they made time in their schedule to see me immediately.
Dr. Rosenberg took the time to thoroughly assess what was going on with my back and pulled together a treatment plan that both addressed my back issues and worked with my schedule to make it all happen. To say that I am pleased would be a vast understatement.
The entire staff at the Chiro-Medical Group is head and shoulders above anything I could have hoped to encounter - they are a team that works in concert with the common goal of addressing your particular condition. I can't say enough about the team - Kevin in Physical Therapy, Randy in the insurance department, Dr. Rosenberg and his associates - each of them has contributed to my recovery.
You have no idea what a chiropractor can really do until you have been treated by Dr. Rosenberg and his team.

"Chiro Medical changed my life!"
Since the start of my injury (adhesive capsulitis) in 2003 I have gone to surgeons and specialists through workmen’s comp. They gave me cortizone shots, recommended physical therapists, prescribed wrists braces, muscle relaxers, anti-inflammatory medication, portable e-stim machines and acupuncture. They even gave me $5000 for my injury! But it never brought back the full movement in both shoulders. In July 2008, I made an appointment with Dr. Calzeretta and his team as a recommendation from a friend. They have a holistic approach to resolving my injuries and chronic pain. After they do a thorough examination of biomechanics from standing to sleeping they alleviate the immediate pain with chiropractic and set out to resolve what is causing the pain through physical therapy and education.
In my case, they assigned me to Dr. Toal (my Chiropractor) and Steve Moreno (my Physical Therapist). They worked together in helping me and they did such a great job. Every exercise they taught me, every bit of information they shared with me from posture to ergonomic improvements proved to be beneficial to my recovery. I haven’t moved my arms since 2003 and in the last 2 months I’m 85% into my recovery. I can’t believe it! By the year is over I’ll be able to do snow angels in the sand and hanging ten! "

"Healthy and Feeling Young"
Chiropractic care has and continues to be very beneficial to me. It keeps me healthy and feeling young. It allows me to live pain free and maintain a very active lifestyle which includes performing music, training horses and working out. I, originally, came to the chiropractor about twenty years ago for a shoulder problem which did not allow me to throw. Through adjustments and massage, the doctor was able to give me my arm back. After that problem, I continued to come once a month for maintenance because the care felt good and helped me to stay in top performance shape. I would highly recommend chiropractic care to anyone.

"I Can't Say Enough"
I can't say enough about the team at Chiro Medical Group. Before finding Chiro Medical Group in 2007 I had had chronic lower back pain for a decade. I'd seen a series of orthopedic specialists and physical therapists. While my doctors were beginning to talk about surgery, my conversations with Dr. Scott Calzaretta convinced me that was premature. After working with Dr. Calzaretta and his team for a few months my pain subsided. During the same time, Steve Moreno helped to understand and practice exercises to both relax and strengthen my back. I've regained my flexibility and range of motion. Now, I continue to seek periodic treatment for preventative care and the occasional flareup.
Besides the fact I'm generally pain free, the experience with Chiro Medical has been extremely positive. Throughout, I felt as though the treatment plan was personalized and specific. Though I'm not athletic and have not exercised regularly, Steve and the people who occasionally stood in for him were extremely supportive in motivating me to learn and practice the critical strengthening exercises. And generally, the efficiency and congeniality of the entire staff continues to make every interaction and every visit a pleasurable experience.

" I've Been Impressed"
I've been seeing Dr. Williams for about a year now. I've been impressed that I can usually get an appointment with her for non-urgent things within a few days, and I can get an appointment with someone else in the practice within 1 or 2 days for urgent things. She's trained in both Western and Eastern medicine, so she's able to suggest approaches from both - sadly, my insurance doesn't cover the Eastern medicine suggestions, so I haven't been able to give them a try.
Yes, they cancel your appointment if you're late, but this keeps them from having to make all of the other people who have left work to go to the doctor after you from sitting in the waiting room for an hour. I've been to about 7 appointments, and only once (2 days before Christmas, when they were shortstaffed) have had to wait for more than 10 minutes.
A few times, I've left messages for the medical staff, and they've always been answered within 12 hours.

"Five Star Review"
1 star because I LOVE Dr. Greene. He is awesome and deals with me on a weekly basis. He is one of the nicest and most approachable Doctors ever. He always knows whats up with my craptastic back. I always feel better when I leave, where as my russian physician always makes me feel scared and anxious when I go in with a sore throat.
1 star because they helped fix my right knee problem. I had no idea I was such a wuss.
1 star because they took me when I couldn't lift my head an inch off the ground and helped fix me.
1 star for steve and bobby and lisa who I've seen at one point of another for one of my numerous injuries.
1 star for the other knee problem they're going to help me fix in the near future.
I've recommended Dr. Greene to my closest friend and boyfriend. They love him too. Seriously, I would be a cripple without them.

"They Are Amazing"
I have been going to Chiro-Medical Group for several years and they are amazing! Dr. Calzaretta and staff have treated me before, during and after training for a marathon, pregnancy, and the wonders of being a new mom. Truly such an amazing place that does so much to get you healthy and keep you healthy. I absolutely can't recommend them enough and honestly believe that one of the reasons my pregnancy went so well was because of the ongoing care I received from them. Whether you are an athlete (which I was), a new mom or mom-to-be, or just someone looking to feel better - this is the place. Oh, and calling all golfers - ask about the fun assessements they have to improve your swing!

"I Will Not Go Anywhere Else"
I have been a patient at Chiro-Medical group for over 2 years now and will not go anywhere else. I have always struggled with finding doctors who are knowledgable and have great bedside manner, you either get one or the other but at Chiro-Medical you get both.
I originally changed doctors becuase my last doctor treated me like a fake when I hobbled into her office with a sprained ankle. She spent 2 minutes with me and said to ice it. A year later I was having my first visit at Chiro-Medical and my ankle was still hurting. The nurse practitioner recommended I see Dr. Greene and boy am I glad I did. Turns out I tore the tendon in my foot and had to be casted for 6 weeks!
Dr. Greene has been extremely helpful with my recovery and making me pain free. Plus I know he has my best interest in mind. Every time I leave Dr. Greene's office I feel 100 times better than when I first got there.
Thanks Dr. Greene for all the help!

"They Are Healers"
Chiro Medical Group - and specifically Dr. Taylor Rabbetz - is one of the best additions to my physical fitness and health. Dr. Rabbetz and his team (esp. Jez) are not just chiropractors, massage therapists or physical therapists - they are healers.
From a persistent running injury to a bad bike accident, Dr. Rabbetz and the Chiro Medical team have ensured that I heal quickly and, most importantly, avoid reinjury. Honestly, within two months of a nasty bike wreck during a triathlon, in which I severely sprained my back and got whiplash, I was back on my bike in riding form. After struggling with severe pain from a persistent running injury, Dr. Rabbetz' care allowed me to complete my 7th marathon, injury free before, during and after the race!
Unlike other chiropractors who try to have you keep coming back time and again, Dr. Rabbetz aims to have you NOT come back! I have to admit, I get bummed when I know I'm not going to see him for a few months!
I also want to give a little shout out to Jez and Deep Massage - the massage table has a heating pad - what more is there to know?

"Helped Me Bounce Back"
I've been a patient of Dr. Rabbetz at Chiro-medical Group since I injured the mid-thoracic region of my back in a Muay Thai accident almost 10-years ago. Since then, over the years, through chiropractic care and physical therapy Rabbetz and his team have helped me bounce back from one painful injury after another: a couple of lower back issues from running and yoga, carpel tunnel from too much design, a shoulder injury from softball, and most recently a knee injury from a tight IT Band. Wow, that's quite a list, maybe I should stop hurting myself.
These guys are athletes themselves and understand how to integrate treatment back into active lifestyles. I'm a big advocate of their integrated, hands-on, approach that combines chiropractic, massage and physical therapy into an extremely effective healing process.
I can't recommend them enough. If it's broke, they'll fix it.

"She Was Extremely Warm, Patient, and Helpful"
Dr. Anne Williams is wonderful. I went in last year with what I thought was an iodine deficiency (false alarm, whew) and throughout the entire visit she was extremely warm, patient, and helpful. She took time to ask me many specific questions about my symptoms and actually discuss them with me, instead of just silently and sans discourse jotting them down on a pad. She even evaluated this bump I had on my ear without my having asked her to -- which really reinforced this feeling I had that she cared about my whole person, not just whatever was immediately ailing me at the time!
Plus she was very, very good at answering questions. As a patient, one of the most frustrating experiences is getting short, clipped, and not sufficiently informative responses from a physician. Definitely not the case here; all of her answers were thoughtful, descriptive, and altogether helped put me at ease.

"Hal Rosenberg is a god"
I was having some pretty heavy right side pains from rocking out to a 10 hour weekend of gigs (swinging and dancing a 20lb bass around for 5 hours a night), and think i triggered an old injury. Either way, I was in severe pain. i saw Hal 4 times and the pain is gone.
Thanks Hal. You deserve 5 stars.

"Everyone was super friendly and warm"
PRAISE DR. LORD!!! I was incredibly bummed when I strained my rotator cuff doing 50 pull ups last month. As a trainer and owner of LaLanne Fitness-CrossFit, working out IS MY LIFE... therefore I NEEDED to get back to training ASAP! After a week of suffering, I decided to go to Kaiser to get checked out. The doctor moved my arm around for 30 seconds and said, "It's not broken, just rest for two weeks and do nothing except move your forearm side to side." What the @%#??!!! I know better than to do that! That is the worse advice you can give a patient, particularly an ATHLETE! Crappy advice for a $100 co-payment... GRRR!!
This is when Dr.Lord came into play. He is a fellow CrossFitter and student of LaLanne Fitness, so he knows FIRST HAND how intense we train and how passionate we are about CrossFit. His goal was to get me back training as quickly as possible. I had spent years seeing chiropractors and physical therapists when I was younger for a severe back injury and NONE of it helped. CrossFit was the only thing that helped. SO you could imagine how skeptical I was to see a chiropractor about a shoulder problem, even if the chiropractor was a trustworthy student... but I thought what the hell... couldn't hurt.
From the moment I stepped into the facility, everyone was super friendly and warm. Dr. Lord spent an hour assessing my condition and working through ranges of motion, etc. I don't know the technical lingo for what he did, I just know that I was blown away by how thorough he was and how amazing my shoulder felt the very next day. I have probably seen 20 different chiropractors in my life and they would all spent 5-20 minutes TOPS cracking and popping me like I was bubble-wrap! I also didn't need a "life prescription" to get back to 100% (i.e. see me for an adjustment 2 x week for ummmm....LIFE!) He said it would probably take 5-6 treatments depending on how well I responded and how diligent I was about heeding his advice. He was absolutely right! I just left his office now just having my last treatment AND GUESS WHAT?!!...... I was able to do my KIPPING PULL UPS at the end of the treatment!
I feel like baking him a cake right now or naming my first born child after him, but I figured Yelping about it is the best thing I could do at the moment. It's actually better this way. So now other people could discover that they don't need to live in pain and that they can get back to whatever sport they do, even if it's only channel surfing.
THANK YOU LORD....DR. LORD...that is!!!
